The course is an innovative CPR, AED and First Aid training course, it is intended to teach those participating how to provide emergency care for injured or ill children, aged between 1 and eight years old, and for infants of less than one year old.
Candidates on our paediatric first aid course will learn about the types of medical emergencies relevant to children and how they differ from adult conditions.
The course content also includes the importance of attending to basic emergency situations with children, the emotional aspects of caring for children, secondary care for children, preventing common injuries and illnesses in children.
Our Paediatric First Aid course is suitable for Nursery and School Staff (dealing with foundation stage), Childminders and anybody who deals/works with children that wants a more in-depth First Aid course to help safeguard children.
