For the fourth year running, volunteers from across the RelyOn businesses gave up their time to support the annual Sportsman's Lunch - an event that raises much-needed funds for grassroots football and cricket across the Staffordshire area.
The day brought together guests, sponsors and local sporting figures for an afternoon of food, fundraising and entertainment, all in the name of supporting community clubs and the next generation of local talent.
This year's guest speaker was former England Cricket Captain, Michael Vaughan, who shared stories and insight from his international career.
Our team worked behind the scenes throughout the day, helping organisers ensure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. We're proud of the team who gave their time to support such a worthy cause, and we're already looking forward to being part of the 2027 event!

A group of RelyOn Guarding staff recently gave up their afternoon to volunteer at a fundraising walk supporting St Peter's Hospice - one of our valued clients and a charity that does vital work across the Bristol community.
The event saw participants take on either a 5km or 10km route through some of Bristol's most iconic landmarks, including Ashton Court Estate, the Clifton Suspension Bridge, and the Observatory. Our team provided marshalling support along the route, keeping participants safe and ensuring the event ran smoothly from start to finish.
St Peter's Hospice Events Fundraising Manager Caitlin Logan said: "Thank you hugely for helping out at the Rugby March! We genuinely couldn't run these events without amazing volunteers like you and your crew."

On 1st July, Relyon Security was delighted to support Begbrook Primary Academy with a special delivery of new books. Our Head of Operations – Security, Gemma Perrott, visited the school, which is part of the Cabot Learning Federation, to hand over a carefully selected collection of titles for pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
At Relyon, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve. Supporting education and literacy for young learners is a cause close to our hearts, and we’re proud to contribute resources that will help inspire a love of reading and support learning development during these crucial early years.
The books donated include a mix of core curriculum texts and engaging titles for reading areas, selected to support both classroom learning and independent exploration. From early readers to more advanced Key Stage 2 titles, the donation aims to spark curiosity, improve literacy, and make reading an enjoyable part of everyday school life.

“They are absolutely thrilled to receive these books. Within the list are some key texts for EYFS and some Reading Area books for KS2, so they really will make the difference.”

Some superb feedback from Plympton Police regarding a security operation that we are undertaking in Coypool.
It is always pleasing to receive such an acknowledgement of an ongoing successful operation.

“This morning I popped along to see the new security officers at the old Imerys China clay works on Coypool Road, Plympton.
Over the last few years the site has been subject to numerous reports of intruders, travelers and poachers.
The site is extremely dangerous with unstable buildings and asbestos, this has caused me a great deal of concern to the young children that have been seen there. It is only a few years ago a teenager was seriously injured on the site. Please ensure you advise your children not to go on this site.
The area is now patrolled 24/7 by officers from RelyOn guarding.

A charity skydive (when people choose to jump out of perfectly good aeroplanes, to raise much needed funds for a chosen charity) took place recently, of which RelyOn Cleaning Services were proud to be the main sponsor.
Juliette Randall of children’s charity ERIC said “thanks to RelyOn’s support I personally raised £1725.00 which was a fantastic result and nearly £1K more than my original target, with the rest of the team our total is approaching £4,000.
We had an amazing day and it was a great experience – but not one I will be repeating in a hurry.
It was definitely worth it though to raise much needed funds to support the families and children struggling every day with continence difficulties.
